The Berkshire Stags Visually Impaired Cricket Club was established in 2010 and includes male and female blind and visually impaired players.
We have a number of level 2 coaches specialising in VI Cricket and train regularly from January through to September.
All home games and outdoor training sessions take place at Binfield Cricket Club who has generously provided us with a home for our club.
The team plays in the Blind Cricket England and Wales development league and also compete in the British Blind Sport Primary Club Heindrich Swanepoel Memorial Cup.
The Stags also play a number of friendly fixtures throughout the season, usually against sighted cricket teams whose players wear ‘Simspecs’ to simulate various types of visual impairment.
The Stags would welcome new players who are eligible to be registered visually impaired or blind to be members of their squad. You do not have to be resident in Berkshire to join but the minimum age is 12 years. There is no upper age limit.
For younger VI players aged 8-12 years we organise training sessions throughout the season and encourage siblings and friends to join in the fun.
