A fantastic day at our Youth Finals Day
Last weekend saw the culmination of the 2023 Berkshire Cricket Youth Competitions with both the girls & mixed Blast finals days. This years finals, hosted at Slough CC, were all live streamed for the first time using Frogbox.
Girls Finals Day - Saturday 9th September
Girls cricket continued to go from strength to strength in the county with 78 teams entered from 27 clubs across a range of age groups, formats and softball/hardball competitions. This included a 33% increase in the number of hardball teams on 2022!
Slough CC went one better than in 2022 to claim the treble retaining the U13 (vs Falkland) & U15 (vs Henley) titles before overcoming last years U18 winners Falkland in a re-run of the 2022 final. Meanwhile, Finchampstead retained the U11s Blast trophy.

Mixed Finals Day – Sunday 10th September
Sunday saw the turn of the mixed teams finals day with U11, U13, U15 & U17 titles to be played for. Junior cricket also continues to grow with a further 30 teams entering competitions a rise of 10% from 2022.
The finals saw Wargrave winning the U11 (vs Goring) & retaining the U17s (vs Theale & Tilehurst) titles while Crown Taverners won the U13s title (vs Slough) for the 2nd year running. Peppard Stoke Row would run out winners in the U15s competition (vs Slough) after some devastating top order hitting.
