Eight Berkshire players are swapping their cricket whites for running shoes to raise money for charity. Skipper James Morris, brother Richard, wicketkeeper Stewart Davison, Ollie Wilkin, Michael Roberts, Andy Rishton, Euan Brock and Ali Raja are to run in the Wokingham Half Marathon on Sunday, February 12.
Dressed in Super Heroes costumes, they will all be raising funds for Build Africa.
James Morris comments: "This is a charity that the county has close links with, as it does fantastic work improving education in Africa. If you would like to support us by donating a few of your hard earned cash then please donate.
"Thank you in advance for any donations. It is hugely appreciated by us, but more importantly, hugely important to the children in Africa that it will benefit."
A Build Africa statement: 'We work tirelessly to build schools and support education in some of the poorest parts of Africa. We are run entirely by volunteers and our annual HEROES RUN event covers all our annual core costs. This means that 100% of the money you donate goes straight to our education projects. Thank you!'
